Many people want to grow cacti but don’t want to spend much time tending to them while enhancing the beauty of their homes. Cacti are very easy to grow; they don’t require much care, but they can die if one thing is not done carefully, and that is overwatering. So, you can rest assured that if you water them once every two weeks, they will grow beautifully in your home. Cacti come in various shapes and sizes, each bearing unique flowers. Some flowers bloom in the morning, while others bloom at night.
To prepare suitable soil for small pots, you’ll need rice husks, coco peat, a bit of organic fertilizer, some charcoal, and some large-sized stones. Mix all the ingredients well and fill small, shallow pots to replace the plants. Cacti can be easily obtained from nearby nurseries to adorn your home with various shapes of cacti.
Occasionally spraying a little water will take care of the cacti. You can keep cacti indoors or place them in light shade, on the roof in the morning, or in the garden or balcony. However, be cautious if there are small children at home, as they might hurt themselves on the cactus spines.
Only water the soil when it becomes dry and crunchy on top. As mentioned earlier, the only thing that can kill cacti is excessive water, so adding well-draining soil and giving them a little water will make your garden flourish beautifully with cacti.
